Conference program

Animal Publics: Emotion, Empathy, Activism will be held at the University of Melbourne from the 12th to 15th of July, 2015. The official conference program consists of six renowned international keynotes, film screenings, an art exhibition and book launches alongside the array of papers, with an accompanying program of social events beginning on Saturday the 11th of July. Conference registration includes morning tea, afternoon tea, and lunch (all vegan), and all conference sessions and program events, excluding some additional social events such as the conference dinner.

Conference Dinner

The conference dinner will be held on Monday, July 13 at 7:30pm, at The Brunswick Mess Hall, 400 Sydney Road, Brunswick, 3056. The special guest speaker for the dinner will be Jeffrey Masson.

At a cost of $90 a head, booking in advance is essential, via this online form.

Saturday 11th July – Vegan walking tour of Melbourne from 10am with Siobhan O’Sullivan

Siobhan will guide you through the best of vegan Melbourne, from stylish shoes to tasty food. This free event will explore Collingwood and Fitzroy, and is a fantastic chance to see a different side of the city in advance of the main conference launch on Sunday, July 12. Saturday 11th July, 6pm onwards –  Social Dinner – Animal Publics and ICAS conferences

A casual social dinner / catch up for those attending ICAS, Animal Publics or both!  At the Cornish Arms Hotel, 163A Sydney Road, Brunswick
